Notify me about Adoptions and Fostering, Please
If you sign up to our adoptions and fostering list, we will email you when we are looking for new homes for cats. These might be cats living in our cafe who are ready to find a new family, or cats who have been left in our care. From time to time we offer fostering opportunities and special events for cat carers in London, so you may hear about these from time to time if you sign up to this list.
We share our adoption success stories on our social media accounts, so if you'd like to keep up with the cats who have been happily rehomed, follow us on Instagram, Tiktok, or Facebook.
How does rehoming work at Lady Dinah's?
The goal for our rescue cats and kittens is to be a stable foster haven for them during their stay, in which we can nurture their growth and help socialise them into confident, happy cats. Our cats and kittens only stay with us as long as they are happy living a cafe life--whether that be only for a few months, or even a few years. All cats are different and our approach to rehoming is very much cat-led. They let us know when they're ready.
Most cats are not fans of big changes. We sim to minimise the amount of change our cats are exposed to by keeping our clowder as stable as possible. Whilst we are huge advocates for rehoming as much as we can, we also consider how our cats feel, their relationships and dynamics with one another, and are mindful of their quality of life at Lady Dinah's while they are with us.
Lady Dinah's employs a team of Cat Carers, all trained in animal welfare and husbandry, whose important job is not only to introduce our cats to our guests, but to uphold our high standards of welfare and monitor our cats' behaviours. One of our Cat Carers' many jobs is to look our for any signs of our cats being ready to find a forever home.
Although we are kept busy by doing our best to provide our guests and resident felines with wonderful experiences at Lady Dinah's, we've also dedicated a lot of time and energy over the years to helping humans and cats find each other in order to make happy homes. To date, we have found loving forever homes for more than 90 rescue cats and nothing brings us more joy than seeing our former residents settle into their cosy new abodes.
