Meet The Cats
Our cats and kittens are the stars of the show here at Lady Dinah's Cat Cafe in Bethnal Green, London!
All of our cats and kittens are rescue cats, coming from all walks of life. Our goal is to aid in socialising young felines to be confident, happy cats, and to be a fulfilling, fun and nurturing long-term foster home until they are successfully re-homed.
At our cat cafe, we take rescue cats in directly. Our mission is to reduce the burden on shelters and for this reason, we usually take in animals that shelters have turned away. In 2024, Cats Protection reported that there was a 30% increase in animal abandonment and we ourselves have seen a sharp increase in the number of cats we've been asked to take in. Thanks to your visits, purchases and donations, we are able to cover the preventative medical care, labour and necessities for the cats we can take in, and can pay our staff a liveable wage to give these animals the best of care. Your support is invaluable and we are delighted to be able to welcome cat lovers from all around the world to dine with our cats.

We keep them with us for a little while rather than rapidly rehoming them, to help ensure a calm and safe space for animals. A wonderful benefit to this is that we get to know our cats extremely well, and our favourite thing is chatting all about them! When we do rehome our cats to forever homes, we keep in touch with their families and strive to make a perfect match.
Our residents’ behaviours are constantly monitored by our team of trained cat carers, who are experts in determining when they are ready to move on from café life. We rehome our cats one at a time, so that we can rigorously match profiles and carry out house checks. We rehome to indoor and outdoor homes, depending on each cat's personality and preferences.
